December 2025 closed the year on a strong note for India’s premium motorcycle segment as enthusiasts continued to invest in high performance machines despite the overall market slowdown. Premium bike sales are driven less by necessity and more by passion, brand legacy and riding experience, and the latest numbers clearly reflect this trend. The top five best selling premium bike brands during the month showcased a blend of Japanese reliability, European heritage and iconic global appeal.
Leading the premium segment in December was Kawasaki which maintained its dominance thanks to a wide and well balanced portfolio. Models such as the Ninja 650, Z650, Z900 and the flagship Ninja ZX 10R continued to attract buyers looking for everything from everyday performance bikes to track focused superbikes. Kawasaki’s strong dealer network and consistent availability helped the brand stay ahead of its rivals.
Second place was claimed by Suzuki largely powered by the evergreen Hayabusa. Despite being a single model contribution, the Hayabusa remains one of the most aspirational motorcycles in India. Its unmistakable design, legendary performance and cult following ensured steady demand even in a niche premium space.
Taking the third spot was Triumph which has steadily grown its presence among Indian riders. With a lineup that blends modern classics, roadsters and adventure tourers, Triumph appeals to riders seeking refinement, performance and heritage in equal measure. The brand’s expanding footprint and locally assembled models have also helped improve accessibility.
In fourth position stood Harley Davidson continuing to cater to riders who value cruising comfort and strong road presence. Harley Davidson motorcycles are less about outright speed and more about lifestyle and identity. Even with modest volumes, the brand’s loyal customer base ensured it remained among the top premium sellers.
Completing the top five was Aprilia represented by the RSV4 Factory. This Italian superbike caters to a very specific audience that prioritizes cutting edge technology and race derived performance. While volumes remain limited, Aprilia’s inclusion highlights the diversity of India’s premium motorcycle market.
