Triumph Motorcycles has confirmed that it will increase prices across its India lineup starting January 1, marking the beginning of the new year with a cost revision for prospective buyers. The current ex showroom prices will remain valid only until December 31, making the final weeks of the year a crucial window for customers planning to bring home a Triumph motorcycle at existing rates.
The decision to raise prices comes after changes in taxation and mounting cost pressures that have impacted the two wheeler industry over the past year. In particular, motorcycles with larger engine capacities have been affected by higher tax rates, which manufacturers initially tried to absorb. Triumph had managed to hold prices steady for several months despite these challenges, but the company has now chosen to pass on part of the increased costs to customers.
While Triumph has not officially disclosed the exact hike for each model, the revision is expected to apply across its portfolio, including popular offerings such as the Speed 400, Scrambler 400X, Speed T4, and other mid capacity and premium motorcycles. Even a modest increase in ex showroom prices is likely to result in a noticeable rise in on road costs once registration, insurance, and other charges are added.
Triumph’s growing presence in India, especially after its partnership with Bajaj Auto, has helped the brand reach a wider audience than ever before. Models positioned in the accessible premium segment have seen strong demand, making pricing a key factor for many buyers. The upcoming hike may prompt fence sitters to accelerate their purchase decisions before the year ends.
