The BYD Yangwang U9 electric supercar has arrived in Miami for its United States unveiling, marking an important moment for Chinese automakers in the global high performance electric vehicle market. The car will remain in the country for about a year, giving enthusiasts and potential buyers a rare opportunity to experience its advanced technology and striking design.
The U9 was transported from Shanghai through Dubai to reach Miami. It features BYD’s innovative DiSus X active suspension system, which allows for precise ride height control and dynamic body adjustments, enhancing both performance and comfort. The vehicle uses a quad motor setup built on BYD’s e4 platform, producing power ranging from around 1300 horsepower in standard form to over 3000 horsepower in its extreme variants. Its impressive performance is supported by BYD’s Blade Battery technology and advanced electrical systems.
The Yangwang U9 is not only fast but also highly engineered for track and road performance. Its Track Edition and Xtreme variants have already set world records for top speed and Nürburgring lap times among electric vehicles. These achievements highlight BYD’s ambition to push the limits of electric supercars and demonstrate that Chinese brands can compete with established international manufacturers.
