The anticipation around the KTM 1390 Super Duke RR has grown stronger as newly leaked details reveal that the upcoming machine will be even lighter and sharper than the standard model. Known globally as one of the most aggressive naked motorcycles on the road, the Super Duke lineup is now preparing to reach new heights as the RR version promises improved performance through smart engineering and premium materials. The leaked European approval documents offer the first solid glimpse into what riders can expect from this highly awaited machine.
One of the biggest highlights of the leak is the drop in weight. The 1390 Super Duke RR is expected to weigh around two hundred and four kilograms when fully fuelled, making it several kilograms lighter than the standard Super Duke R. KTM is reportedly achieving this through extensive use of carbon fibre components, a titanium Akrapovic exhaust and a lightweight lithium ion battery. Together these upgrades enhance agility, responsiveness and the overall feel of the motorcycle while giving it a more track focused personality.
Despite the weight reduction, KTM has retained the same powerful engine found on the 1390 Super Duke R. The 1350 cc LC8 V twin engine is expected to continue producing around one hundred and ninety horsepower and one hundred and forty five Nm of torque. This balance of raw power and reduced weight is likely to transform the riding experience and make the Super Duke RR even more explosive on the road and the track. Riders can look forward to quicker transitions, improved cornering stability and a more exhilarating acceleration profile.
The leaked information also points toward additional upgrades that enhance control and performance. Wider handlebars appear to be part of the package allowing riders more stability and space for performance accessories.
