Maruti Dzire vs Honda Amaze Which Sedan Offers Better Safety for Your Family

Choosing a compact sedan often comes down to style features mileage and pricing but for most buyers safety remains the number one priority. The Maruti Suzuki Dzire and Honda Amaze are two of the most popular options in India and both have been recently evaluated under the Bharat NCAP safety program. With new age buyers becoming more aware of crash test scores and safety technology the question naturally arises which of these two sedans offers better protection for its occupants.

The Maruti Dzire has impressed with its strong performance in Bharat NCAP crash tests earning a five star rating for adult occupant protection. Its structure has been shown to handle frontal and side impacts effectively making it a reliable choice for city users as well as highway travelers. The Dzire also scores slightly higher in child occupant protection giving it an advantage for families with young children. With features like six airbags ABS with EBD electronic stability control ISOFIX mounts and a rigid chassis the Dzire delivers a balanced combination of passive and active safety.

The Honda Amaze on the other hand also holds a five star Bharat NCAP rating which places it among the safest sedans in its segment. Honda’s long standing reputation for build quality and occupant protection reflects in the Amaze’s crash test performance. While its adult protection score aligns closely with the Dzire its child safety score trails by a small margin. However the Amaze stands out with additional advanced driver assistance features offered in its higher variants. Its ADAS package includes lane keeping assist collision mitigation braking system adaptive cruise control and other intelligent technologies that significantly enhance real world safety during daily driving.

So which car is safer overall Both sedans are excellent in terms of structural safety and crash performance but their strengths differ. The Dzire has a minor edge in child safety and overall impact protection while the Amaze offers superior active safety thanks to modern driver assistance features. Buyers who prefer proven crash stability might lean toward the Dzire while those who want more tech driven support for safer everyday driving may find the Amaze more appealing.
