In a tragic incident in Madhya Pradesh three young men lost their lives when their motorcycle crashed into a partially washed away bridge and fell into a river. The accident occurred late Friday night near the Byarma River on Sagar Road about twenty five kilometers from Tendukheda block headquarters.
Authorities reported that the bridge had been damaged and traffic had been suspended following last year’s floods. However the victims took a shortcut and lost their way on the dangerous section of the road. The young men were all in their early twenties and were reportedly on their way to a friend’s wedding when the crash happened.
Emergency services arrived at the scene and recovered the bodies declaring them dead at a local community health centre. Locals expressed concern that there were no barricades or warning signs marking the broken section of the bridge. This incident has raised questions about road safety and the adequacy of measures taken to prevent accidents in areas affected by floods.
