Karnataka is set to take a major step in promoting electric mobility with plans to develop a dedicated Electric Vehicle City on 100 acres near Bengaluru. The initiative aims to create a comprehensive ecosystem for electric vehicles including manufacturing, research, testing, and charging infrastructure.
Officials say the EV City will attract both domestic and international investors, supporting startups and established companies in the electric vehicle sector. The project is expected to generate significant employment opportunities and boost the state’s position as a hub for clean and sustainable transportation.
The government plans to integrate advanced technologies in the EV City to ensure it meets global standards for innovation and sustainability. With this move, Karnataka is aiming to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles while contributing to environmental conservation and reducing carbon emissions.
