Jawa has introduced an all new 730 Twin motorcycle in international markets, marking an important moment for the legendary European motorcycle brand. The new model blends traditional styling with modern performance and technology, showcasing Jawa’s ambition to strengthen its presence in the premium middleweight segment. The motorcycle reflects the brand’s heritage while stepping into a new era of engineering and design.
The 730 Twin stands out with its neo retro styling that pays tribute to classic Jawa motorcycles while integrating contemporary design cues. The bike features a round headlamp that reflects traditional aesthetics along with modern LED lighting that improves visibility and efficiency. Its compact fuel tank, exposed frame, and sporty riding posture give it a clean and aggressive visual appeal. The overall silhouette highlights a café racer inspired design that attracts riders who appreciate both heritage and performance.
Powering the motorcycle is a 730cc liquid cooled parallel twin engine that delivers impressive performance figures. The engine produces around 74 horsepower along with approximately 68 Nm of torque, offering strong acceleration and smooth power delivery. The motor is paired with a six speed gearbox that ensures refined gear transitions and enhanced highway cruising capability. Jawa is also planning to introduce a restricted variant that complies with European A2 licensing regulations, allowing new riders to access the motorcycle with limited power output.
The bike is built around a strong tubular steel frame designed to deliver stability and balanced handling characteristics. It is equipped with upside down front forks supplied by KYB along with a rear monoshock suspension setup that enhances ride comfort and cornering stability. Braking performance is handled by high quality Brembo calipers supported by dual channel ABS developed by Bosch, ensuring improved safety and precise stopping power under various riding conditions.
The 730 Twin also embraces modern technology with a fully digital TFT display that offers smartphone connectivity and navigation support. The motorcycle rides on 17 inch wheels which further contribute to its sporty handling and road grip. With a dry weight of approximately 213 kilograms, the bike aims to balance performance and control, making it suitable for both urban and long distance riding experiences.
This new motorcycle is more than just a single product launch for Jawa. The company plans to use the new twin cylinder platform to develop additional models in the future, indicating a larger strategy focused on expanding its global portfolio. The platform provides flexibility for multiple styles and performance variations, allowing Jawa to compete with established brands in the middleweight motorcycle category.
Despite the excitement surrounding the launch, the 730 Twin is expected to remain focused on European and selected international markets. There are currently no strong indications of an Indian launch since the model has been developed by the original Czech based Jawa brand rather than the India licensed operation. However, the unveiling of such a powerful and stylish motorcycle continues to strengthen Jawa’s global reputation and highlights its commitment to innovation while preserving its iconic legacy.
