Bengaluru Supercar Scam Exposed Lamborghini Owner Faces Rs 37 Lakh Tax Trouble

Bengaluru authorities have uncovered a high profile supercar scam following an anonymous tip that brought attention to a Lamborghini Huracan Evo valued at around Rs 3 crore. The tip alleged that the luxury car was registered using forged documents to evade state road tax. Investigation by the Karnataka transport department confirmed that fraudulent invoices and fake ownership records were used to reduce the taxes owed, potentially allowing the owner to avoid paying over Rs 37 lakh.

As a result of the probe, the Lamborghini was seized by officials and a formal police complaint was filed against the registered owner and any intermediaries involved. Karnataka has been actively monitoring out of state luxury vehicles operating in the city without proper local registration, and this case highlights the serious measures authorities are taking to enforce compliance.

Luxury cars like the Lamborghini carry high road tax based on their value, and attempts to undervalue these vehicles through falsified documents not only break the law but also deprive the state of significant revenue.
