Peaq Preview Skoda’s Upcoming Seven Seater EV Explained

Škoda is preparing to take a major step forward in its electric journey with the upcoming seven seater EV that will be known as the Skoda Peaq. Positioned as the brand’s electric flagship this model is expected to sit above the Enyaq and mark Škoda’s entry into the growing space of large family focused electric SUVs. With global demand rising for spacious and practical EVs the Peaq is shaping up to be one of the most important launches for the Czech automaker in the coming years.

The Peaq draws its inspiration from the Vision 7S concept which showcased Škoda’s Modern Solid design philosophy. This means buyers can expect a bold and upright SUV stance with clean surfaces strong shoulders and a design that prioritises function as much as form. While the production version will be more restrained than the concept the overall focus on robustness and simplicity is likely to remain making the Peaq instantly recognisable on the road.

Inside the cabin the Peaq is expected to offer a spacious three row layout designed with families in mind. Flexibility will be a key theme with ample legroom across rows and a large boot when the third row is folded down. Škoda’s reputation for clever storage solutions should also shine through with practical touches that make everyday use easier whether it is long road trips or city commuting.

Under the skin the Peaq is likely to be based on the Volkswagen Group’s MEB electric platform which already underpins several successful EVs. This suggests competitive range figures possibly close to the 500 kilometre mark on a single charge along with fast charging capability to keep long distance travel convenient. Dual motor all wheel drive variants are also expected which would give the Peaq the performance and traction needed for varied driving conditions.

In terms of positioning the Peaq will be the most premium electric vehicle in Škoda’s lineup. Pricing is expected to reflect its flagship status while still offering value compared to some rivals in the large electric SUV segment. When it arrives the Peaq will go up against models like the Kia EV9 and other upcoming seven seat electric SUVs making competition fierce.
