A devastating accident occurred in Uttar Pradesh when a police raid team’s car plunged into the Hindon River after colliding with a truck. The incident happened on Balaini Bridge near Meerut as the team was returning from a raid. Two people lost their lives in the crash, including Head Constable Rahul Kumar aged thirty five and Azruddin aged thirty two from Baghpat district. Two others survived with injuries.
Constable Kaushal Sharma and a civilian named Guddu were rescued from the river and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities arrived promptly at the scene and conducted rescue operations to recover the vehicle and assist the victims. The exact cause of the collision is still under investigation, with officials examining whether factors like speed, visibility, or driver error contributed to the tragedy.
