The tragic road accident involving students of Balaji Medical College in Chromepet has once again drawn attention to the dangers faced by young commuters on Indian highways. In the early hours of the morning a car carrying medical students rammed into a stationary lorry leading to the death of one student and leaving four others seriously injured. The incident has sent shockwaves through the academic community and sparked renewed debate about reckless parking and nighttime driving risks.
According to initial reports the students were returning after an outing when their car crashed into the rear of a lorry that was parked on the roadside.
